ABOUT PIA

Pia Behmuaras is an immersive experience producer, event manager, and XR designer with a background in psychology and art. She specializes in creating meaningful, inclusive immersive experiences and human-centered activations, through marketing strategy and community-led events.

Since childhood, Pia has found solace in artistic creation through technology. Her natural inclination toward self-expression, combined with a deep curiosity for human behavior and problem-solving, shaped her path into designing immersive experiences for social impact.

Passionate about the power of connection and perspective, she works to lower barriers to technology and make XR more accessible across art, education, therapy, and brand storytelling.

She is the founder of POEIA XR, a strategy-led immersive and experiential studio working at the intersection of XR, AI, marketing, and live events. Through POEIA, Pia partners with brands, platforms, and organizations to design immersive campaigns, content strategies, and in-person activations that make technology feel human.

In 2024, she launched the Immersive Creators Meetup, a Barcelona-based community bringing together XR designers, technologists, and storytellers through curated talks, demos, and networking events. She also organized SensAI Hack Barcelona, a local immersive hackathon focused on human-centered AI and XR innovation.

Previously, Pia worked as an XR Designer at Transfr VR and led product and UX design at Foretell Reality. She has spoken at international events including UnitedXR, Games for Change, and AIGA, and has been featured on VRARA’s Everything VR & AR podcast and XR Guild NYC.
