ABOUT PIA

​Pia Behmuaras is a product manager and immersive experience designer with a background in psychology and art. She specializes in creating meaningful, inclusive virtual experiences that bridge cultures and lower the barrier to technology.

Since childhood, she has found solace in artistic creations using technology. With a natural inclination towards self-expression through art, her curiosity for the world and problem-solving has become the foundation for her design training for social impact.

Passionate about the healing power of connection and perspective, she aims to democratize VR for art, therapy, and education, crafting personalized solutions for real-world challenges.

​

As an advocate for XR in therapy and education, Pia connects psychotherapists and educators with emerging VR tools. Her research and collaborative projects explore XR’s role in emotional well-being, learning, and training.

​

She has worked as an XR designer at Transfr VR and led product and UX design at Foretell Reality. In 2024, she launched the Immersive Creators Meetup, a community for young XR professionals to connect and grow.

Pia has been featured on VRARA’s Everything VR&AR podcast and XR Guild NYC, and has spoken at events like Games for Change and AIGA.
