Artistic Statement
We live in a society increasingly shaped by hyper-individualism.
Social media, self-image, and self-help culture have reinforced a narcissistic worldview where the “I” is always at the center. Genuine human encounters: eye contact, gestures, and embodied presence, are replaced by curated personas and self-validation.
Let Me Feel Your Body responds to this disconnection by turning empathy into a physical act. The spectator does not simply observe suffering, they must inhabit it. Through posture, mirrors, and embodiment, the work reveals the hidden histories shaping behavior.
The installation does not offer answers. Instead, it asks the viewer to suspend judgment, reconstruct meaning, and recognize our shared fragility reminding us that what we perceive in others is often shaped by stories we cannot see.
